Opera Mini Browser App Approved for the App Store
Another browser solution for our mobile devices is on its way to the App Store. Opera Mini will be available within the next 24 hours, depending on where you live. It is a free download for either the iPhone or iPod touch, and it works for iPad, too--though you'll have to embiggen it.
The secret behind the speedy Opera mobile browser is that it compresses data by up to 90 percent before content is sent to the device. Users have expressed seeing faster load times even when they had 3G disabled.
"We are delighted to offer iPhone and iPod touch users a great browsing experience with the Opera Mini App," said Lars Boilesen, CEO, Opera Software. “This app is another step toward Opera's goal of bringing the Web to more people in more places."

This sounds really cool and it's great to hear that apple is letting developers create apps that compete with their own.
As a small aside: in the 5th line it says iPod and iPod Touch; I believe that should read iPhone adn iPod Touch.
Thanks
