Orange, one of the UK carriers of the iPhone 4, recently sent out an email to customers letting them know that the white version of the iPhone 4 could be delayed "until the end of the year." The email went on to explain that customers looking to get a white iPhone 4 should consider getting the black version instead.
The last announcement of the white version of the iPhone 4 stated that it would be released sometime "later this year," but we're unsure if Apple has released more specific information to Orange UK. We're also not sure about the release of the white iPhone 4 in the United States.
The email that was sent to customers reads, "We wanted to let you know that there won't be any white iPhone 4's in the UK until the end of the year. If you're happy to wait another few months we'll let you know as soon as they're back in stock. Want an iPhone 4 now? Alternatively, if you want it now, click here or visit your local Orange shop to get the iPhone 4 Black 16GB or 32GB today."
So, if you're in the UK and want an iPhone 4 right away, the black version may be your only choice for now.
