OS X Botnet Is Alive!!!
Remember when we warned you about the iServices Trojan horse a few months back? It infected machines that had downloaded pirated versions of Photoshop CS4 and iWork '09 and was downloaded 20,000 times.
Well the malware monster has finally reared its head and it's hungry for DOS attacks. Of course, 20,000 computers attacking a website isn't really that huge a of a threat unless it attacks your aunt Julie's knitting page.
Computers infected by the iServices Trojan horse display an inordinate amount of CPU usage and a rash near the power supply. Users can update their security software or can stop the Trojan's evil ways by deleting System>Library>StartupItems>DivX and System>Library>StartupItems>iWorkServices.
Remember kids, the Mac isn't immune to Trojan horses and we should all be vigilant in only installing trusted software.
