Only a day or so after reports surfaced that Apple was quietly slipping a beta version of OS X Lion 10.7.5 into the hands of select developers, Cupertino has now pushed the update to all registered developers on Tuesday.
MacRumors is reporting that Apple has seeded OS X Lion 10.7.5 build 11G15 to Mac developers on Tuesday, which could presumably be the final update to the Mac OS X 10.7 prior to OS X Mountain Lion arriving next month.
Developers have been asked to focus their attention on graphics performance and quality, image and media importing, editing or viewing and networking reliability and performance with this initial beta.
Available as both a 937MB delta version and a 1.87GB combo version strictly for Mac developers at this time, OS X Lion 10.7.5 is likely to include at least one other change: The removal of MobileMe, which Apple will be shuttering for good in 10 days, on June 30, 2012.
OS X 10.7.5 could potentially be the final update to Lion, but there's likely to be at least one more in the months ahead after OS X Mountain Lion becomes the new kid in town in July.
