So how about that PlayStation 4, huh? Sony held a big event Wednesday night to announce its next-generation entertainment console, but neglected to show it to anyone, let alone offer up a price or release date. Maybe they're taking an anti-Apple approach? Guess we'll see how that works out for them, but from where we sit, seems as if the once-mighty CE giant seems to just be trying to get in line ahead of Xbox rival Microsoft…
Apple Co-Founder Thinks Company Risks Losing "Cool Guy" Image
Bloomberg is reporting that Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has gone on record with his concern that the company he helped build could soon be viewed as less "cool" than the competition. “We used to have these ads, I’m a Mac and I’m a PC, and the Mac was always the cool guy,” the legend known as "Woz" explained. “And ouch, it’s painful, because we kind of are losing that.” Among Woz's suggestions are opening up iTunes to competitors such as Android and Windows Phone, the latter being a platform he expects Microsoft to gain "enough critical mass to keep going" thanks to a wider presence than Apple. Like many fans, Woz is also excited about the prospects of an Apple-made "iWatch," though he makes it clear that there's no urgency to rush such a product to meet the demands of analysts and critics.

India Finally Gets Its Apple TV
AppleInsider is reporting that India has finally added the Apple TV to the company's product mix in that country. Selling locally for Rs. 7,900 (roughly $146) in Apple's Indian online store, the streaming box has some stiff competition in that country against hardware from Asus, WD and Amkette. The report notes that Apple is still shoring up content deals with Indian providers, ultimately hoping to bring customers there services equal to Netflix and Hulu Plus here in the U.S.
