Palm Pre to Sync with iTunes
According to Fortune, the new Palm Pre will sync with Apple's iTunes application.
The Palm Pre will sync all your DRM-free J-pop tracks from iTunes right onto the device. No word on if DRM-free videos will also sync. Palm apparently has included the code necessary for iTunes syncing directly into the Pre's firmware.
This feature, while good news for the Pre, may be an irritation to Apple. Apple isn't too keen on third-party hardware companies attaching to their beloved iTunes app. How long this feature will be available is yet to be seen. Apple could disable the Pre's ability to sync with iTunes.
Fortune reached out to Apple for a comment and was greeted with the usual, the company does not respond to rumor and speculation.
