Parallels 6 Announced

Whether you have to use Linux or (gasp) Windows on your Mac in order to get through your day, virtual environments are a vital part of your workflow. For those folks, Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac has been announced for a September 14 release.
The new version of Parallels includes the follow new functions and enhancements:
- Launch Windows Applications 41-percent faster than Parallels Desktop 5
- 64-bit engine
- For gamers, you can now experience 5.1 surround sound and according to Parallels, 3D graphics have a 40-percent improvement.
- Parental Controls you have set on OS X will now work with your Windows applications
- Set Windows applications to use OS X keyboard shortcuts
In addition to the regular Parallels edition, you can purchase Parallels Desktop 6 Switch for Mac Edition. This version is for Windows users switching to the Mac who need a little help getting up to speed. It includes a USB cable and data migration tool that allows Windows users to migrate as much, or as little, information they want to their new Mac. Switch for Mac Edition customers also get videos that help you get acquainted with the OS X Environment.
