Earlier this morning, we headed out to the Apple Store in downtown San Francisco to check out all the hubbub surrounding the iPhone 4. With the reports from Twitter and Facebook that the lines were gargantuan, we had to check it out for ourselves. When we got to the store an hour before launch, the line extended around the block, all the way to the street that is actually parallel to that of the Apple Store. Hopefully, the faithful patrons that were waiting in the cold, frigid, San Francisco summer weather won't go home empty handed.
Also, maybe you've got some of your own photos that you'd like to share with us. Come and join our Flickr group, and then post your own photo of your iPhone 4!
As aforementioned, the line was ridiculously long. From one corner...

...to another corner...

...and down the block...

...to the front of the store, where there were two lines to choose from: reservations and purchases.

People brought their MacBooks, their iPads, and of course, their trusty old last-generation iPhones.

Many of the Apple Faithful waiting in line took the liberty of making themselves as comfortable as possible.

This guy brought an inflatable couch.
