Price Drop: Cheap Games, and Useful Apps for Free
It's Friday, it's summer, it's almost time for WWDC, and everyone's in a great mood. Saving money on games -- or getting helpful non-game apps for free -- is just the icing on the cupcake. This weekend's price drops have something for everyone.
Click the links or the app icons to go to the iTunes Store. And have a swell weekend, everybody...
Worms 2: Armageddon
This universal app dropped to 99 cents for a limited time (down from $4.99), and the "Battle Pack" in-app purchase is also 99 cents. Worms is turn-based strategy that's been around forever, and the iOS version helps us rest assured this classic franchise will always exist on every gaming platform ever. Comforting thought, yeah?
Speedball 2 Evolution
This universal mix of football and hockey has multiplayer mode, Game Center support, and looks great on both the iPhone and iPad. And it's free for a limited time! It's usually $4.99, so pick it up now, while it won't cost you nuttin'.
Telltale Games for iPad
Hector: Badge of Carnage Episode 1, subtitled "We Negotiate with Terrorists" is only $2.99 for your iPad through June 14. (These episodes usually ring up for $6.99.) Hector is a drunken, misanthropic detective, and his point-and-click adventure displays classic Telltale humor and storytelling chops. There's a lite version too if you want to try before you buy.
But that's not all!
Back to the Future: Episode 1, subtitled "It's About Time," is now free for the iPad (until July 31!), to celebrate the release of Episode 4, "Double Visions" (which is $6.99).
OK, that's enough games. How about some useful apps too? And even better, how about three useful apps that are now totally free? Yeah, we know what you like.
Daily Agenda
This slick-looking iPhone productivity app dropped from $1.99 to free, and it even integrates with your iCal, Google, and Microsoft Exchange calendars. Uh, yes please.
Alleviate Migraines
I haven't gotten a migraine in a while (knock wood), but when you get one...youch. So I'm definitely jumping on this universal app from iCan Hypnosis, which just dropped from $4.99 to free. Even if it doesn't wind up fixing my next migraine, for zero dollars and a mere 25MB of space, it's certainly worth a try.
Camera Fun Pro
You like cameras. You like fun. And you're a total pro, dude. And this Photo Booth-ish app for your iPhone just dropped from $4.99 to free. So…yeah. There you go.
Until next week...
Susie Ochs is going to spend her weekend sleeping, eating, and probably watching Top Gun. And she might tweet about it, and you can follow her if you're into that kind of thing.

Today is the 5th of June and daily agenda is still not free. Sometimes I wonder where you guys get your info. It's either false or the app developer does not know how to change the pricing. Or when it's free it's really only a 1/2 version of the app and not the full version.

Daily Agenda doesn't appear to be free. Perhaps they've changed their minds?
