This week's price drops represent something a little on the class side of things. Classics from literature as well as classics in the gaming world. We are high and mighty here at Mac|Life, we drink with our pinkies extended, and we play games, like a sir. And we love cheap games!
Reiner Knizia Games

Looks like legendary game designer and developer Reiner Knizia's full of holiday cheer as developer Tribeflame has dropped the price of his universal labyrinth and board games from $2.99 to $0.99. A two buck price cut in both his eponymous Through the Desert HD and Labyrinth HD. Plot your way through the desert in one while the other finds you trapped in hedge mazes and ruined castles. Simple but addictive, that's the way we like our games.
Grimm's Rapunzel ~ 3D Interactive Pop-up Book

Ah, public domain, you rich, rich source of material that to this day inspires imagination. In this case, the Brother's Grimm's famous tale of hair beyond measure is turned into a charming pop up book, but not just any kind. This is 3D interactivity, just like you'd expect from iOS devices. This universal wonder is given a haircut down from $1.99 to absolutely free -- until January 2nd.
Z The Game

There's more classic action in this week's column than we can stand, as real time strategy Z the Game from the Bitmap Brothers makes its way to a universal iOS game. Give yourself a flashback pricing as the app drops from $4.99 to just $0.99. Another strategy game, this critically acclaimed war game has you fighting to capture territory and crush your enemies. Fast-paced, frantic play has you choosing tons of hardware and commanding robot armies.
