Hey, iPad owners! This one's for you. iPad apps tend to be more expensive than their smaller-screened counterparts, but luckily they go on sale just as often. This week we found iPad apps for making comic-book heroes out of you and your friends, apps to give you a reason to haul your trusty iPad to meetings, and a game that lets you take over the world. And you can get all of 'em for less than the price of a six-dollar burger...

ComicCon is coming up soon, and if you're into comics, why not make your own? Comic Life for iPad is $3.99, which is 50 percent off, from now until midnight (your local time) on July 17. With it you can make comics out of your own photos, easily, and share them via email or post them to Facebook. Cape optional.

I seriously doubt anyone reading this loves attending meetings at work -- or any meetings, really. (Even those people in the icon look less than thrilled.) Well, how about if you had an excuse to take your iPad to every meeting, have something to fiddle with, but actually be helping rather than obsessively refreshing your Twitter feed? Meeting Pad is on sale from 99 cents (normally $6.99), and it lets you take notes, capture to-do items, and remember who attended each meeting -- if you're the person stuck making minutes, it's essential.

Another app that's handy for meetings, Easy Show HD lets you make photo slideshows or quick presentations. It's a cool way to show off your ideas -- and your iPad -- to your coworkers or clients. And it's free for a limited time (normally $2.99), so you might as well give it a spin.

Once you're done making your comics and attending your meetings, nothin' left to do but conquer the world. Conquist 2, which rocks on the iPad but is pleasantly universal, is like Risk but with four game modes, tons of maps, three difficulty levels, and the flexibility to play against friends or bots. Up to six people can play on one iPad, so show no mercy. Oh, and it's on sale for 99 cents, from $2.99, saving you $2 towards a fake mustache you can twirl as you take over the world.
