To be blunt, Seth Grahame-Smith's 2009 novel Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, is shorthand for awesome.
In taking the more bearable plot elements and narrative of a Jane Austin classic and mixing them with some good old-fashion zombie-slaying, Grahame-Smith manages to produce a mash-up by which all other mash-ups shall henceforth be measured by and deemed weaksauce by comparison.
Yes, it's that good.
Luckily for iPhone and iPod touch owners everywhere, Freeverse understands this fundamental truth, and has seen fit to bless us with Pride and Prejudice and Zombies - The Game!
Promising the wholesome goodness of hack-and-slash zombie-killing action with heart-string tweaking romance, it looks to be a game that everyone can enjoy... so long as everyone's fond of killing zombies, romance and tweaking.
The bar is set high for this one, with Freeverse having already proven that they know a thing or two about games featuring The Undead - Just ask anyone addicted to Plants vs. Zombies. Look for it in the App Store in April.
Update: Whoops, Plants vs. Zombies is indeed a PopCap game and not Freeverse. Thanks ciszm for the heads up.
