The holidays are a great time to snap memories that will last a lifetime, and if you happen to be looking for a new way to do just that this Christmas season, ProCamera 7 might be just the ticket.
Cocologics GmBH released ProCamera 7, the latest version of their third-party camera alternative for the iPhone which checks off all the boxes on Santa's list for delivering Christmas joy to iPhoneographers.
Technically version 5.2, the iOS 7-styled ProCamera 7 delivers a new QR barcode scanner, which can be found under the Mode switch. Rather than simply collecting a URL and shuttling the user off to that website, the app actually displays the address first as a security measure, giving the user the choice of whether or not to actually visit it.
ProCamera 7 also introduces a new EXIF Viewer, serving up complete embedded metadata for photos and videos in an easy to read interface. Data includes a map of where the image was taken -- including the direction the user was facing at the time.
Auto Save adds the ability to save shots immediately to the Camera Roll or Lightbox, but can be turned off for shooters who prefer to preview images before choosing whether to save or delete them.
Last but not least, ProCamera 7 introduces advanced focus and exposure controls including F/E Lock, along with the requisite number of bug fixes and interface enhancements.
Best of all, ProCamera 7 is now available for 60 percent off this holiday season, available now in the App Store for only $1.99. The app requires iOS 7.0 or higher.
