Despite four generations of updates, the iPhone’s built-in Calendar app leaves a lot to be desired. If you tend to favor Google Calendar anyway, the creators of ReaddleDocs have a new solution for you: Calendars.
Readdle Inc. recently announced the availability of their latest app, Calendars. The company made a name for themselves early on with the versatile ReaddleDocs app (available for both iPhone/iPod touch and iPad) and Scanner Pro, but Calendars brings a better iPhone solution for users of Google Calendar.
Calendars easily manages your calendars online and offline, with a unique interface that allows you to move events with drag-and-drop simplicity and easily navigate between days, weeks and months. Add events in a single tap, exactly like the web-based Google Calendar on your desktop, or navigate between days with lightning speed thanks to the app’s navigation controls.
Readdle’s Calendars also allows you to add attendees to both new and existing events and even same time by inviting the same people to a future event. SMS reminders can be set up for all events, and repeating tasks are a snap with Calendars.
Calendars is iOS 4 tested and the 3.6MB app is available from the App Store now for only $6.99. The app requires iOS 3.0 or later and a free Google Calendar account.
