iOS developer Readdle has had a busy year pushing out new features for its portfolio of iPhone, iPad and iPhone touch apps, including Calendars, the company’s Google Calendar client that just got a fresh new update with faster sync, updated week view and better Google Tasks support.
Readdle announced the immediate availability of Calendars 2.3, the latest version of their universal Google Calendar client for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad. The new version brings several new features the company claims will bring the app to the next level, improving both the quality and performance on your iOS device.
Among the changes are the ability to quickly add, modify or reschedule events and tasks within the application -- all changes will be immediately updated to your desktop calendars in the background, avoid any interruptions in your workflow. Sync has been completely revamped and now works twice as fast.
Calendars 2.3 also introduces task management and Google Tasks support, allowing users to add or edit tasks as well as rearrange them to keep your priorities straight. All-day events will also now show more information thanks to the redesigned user interface on both the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad.
Calendars 2.3 is available now as a free update for existing users, and the universal app is $6.99 on the App Store for new customers. The app is compatible with all iOS devices running iOS 3.0 or later.
