Back in July, developer Realmac Software introduced Ember as Mac-only digital organization software for designers -- and now the company is teasing that a free, universal companion app is on the way.
Realmac Software announced Tuesday that Ember for Mac will soon be joined by Ember for iOS, a free, universal app for iOS 7 that allows Mac users to access their collections on the go.
Arriving in early December, Ember for iOS allows iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users to add images from anywhere there's a network connection and even organize your library while away from the Mac.
While the initial version appears to be somewhat bare-bones in terms of features, Realmac is promising that annotations and other features will be added to the free app via in-app purchases "in the coming months." The developer notes that viewing and organizing an Ember library will always be free on the iOS app.
If you simply can't wait for the iOS edition of Ember to arrive, head over to the Realmac website and have a look at the teaser page, which touts iCloud sync with the Mac version.
