Re-Imagined iPhone Home Screen
Teehan+Lax would love to bring this new Home Screen experience to the iPhone. Alas, Apple doesn't allow this sort of modification to its magical device.
Maybe someday.

Check out their vision of a new iPhone Home Screen on their site.

I guess that would be nice, but even a glance brings back horrible memories of trying to use a WinMob phone...two actually. They were the two least functional phones I ever had. They were frozen more often than they were operative. I could do without a daily reminder of those POS phones, thanks!

I think I saw it before a long time ago, but I didn't get it... I don't recall the name of the app. Do you have it installed? I would love to try it out.

I would be in heaven with a Home Screen such as that... I love theability to hit the power key and at a quick glance see what's goingon for my day... There have been times I have forgotten to set reminders in my calendar and missed apts

Sadly something very like this is available via Cydia for jailbroken phones. So the phone can certainly do this, but Apple, in its obsessive quest for total control, has decided for us that we don't need this...

The only thing that I did like on my Windows mobile was a home screen like the one above. I like flipping through apps, but a summary view of meetings and emails would be great
