Rock crooners, Radiohead are teaming up with iTunes and Garageband to bring their fans an opportunity to remix the song "Reckoner"off of their latest album, In Rainbows.
Fans can download “stems”, music samples of bass, lead vocals, backing vocals and guitars, of the track from iTunes for only 99¢. Fans are encouraged to download and formulate the tracks into a whole new beat with Apple's Garageband software. However, use of Garageband is not required to enter the contest, any audio-editing software should suffice.
Fans who purchase the stems by October 3rd will be sent code that will grant them access to a project file that will open in Garageband and Logic. The file will be available before October 8. Or, you can just the drop the DRM-free sounds files you've purchased from iTunes into Garageband and start making some magic.
