Respawn Entertainment's multiplayer first-person shooter Titanfall has emerged as one of the most noteworthy game releases of the past few months, but right now it's limited to play on Windows, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. But that could change. According to a tweet by Respawn's co-founder Vince Zampella, this hit game could also grace Mac hard drives sometime in the future.
When asked by Twitter user Torrey Berry if Respawn had any plans to bring Titanfall to Apple's desktop operating system, Zampella replied, "We are talking to Aspyr, they should do it." Aspyr has published several other games for Apple's platform, including Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Borderlands 2, BioShock Infinite, and more. The news also supports Zampella's previously stated wishes in February for a Mac version to appear after the main launch.
Titanfall's gameplay involves fighting other players in six-versus-six online matches, in which they have to complete objectives and occasionally jump into mech-like constructs. The release is thought to represent one of the first compelling reasons to buy Microsoft's new Xbox One gaming console, and it garnered a heap of positive reviews when it officially launched on Tuesday.
The bummer? We currently have no word as to when this Mac version of Titanfall might appear.
