On Tuesday, Roxio took the wraps off the latest versions of its disc-burning media toolkits, Toast 11 Titanium and Toast 11 Pro. It’s been over two years since the company released Toast 10 after a stream of annual updates, but Toast 11 looks like it may be worth the wait.
Roxio announced the immediate availability of Toast 11 Titanium and Toast 11 Pro, the latest versions of their multimedia disc-burning software which promises to be “faster, easier and packed with new features.” Customers can buy and download right away or have a physical box shipped to them, if they prefer, and upgrades from previous versions (as well as sidegrades from other popular Roxio products such as Popcorn) are also available.
The $99.99 Toast 11 Titanium (which can be had now for $79.99 after a $20 mail-in rebate) captures audio and video from the web, camcorders, DVDs and even LP records as well as copying discs with a single click, creating custom DVD and HD compilations. Users can convert media for playback on popular devices like the iPad and iPhone, and share their creations directly to YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo and Twitter. And yes, Toast 11 Titanium continues to burn CDs, DVDs and even Blu-ray discs -- even to multiple drives.
Toast 11 Pro is a $149.99 version ($129.99 now after $20 mail-in rebate) that comes with all of the Titanium features as well as more than $300 of additional software, including Adobe Photoshop Elements, FotoMagic 3 RE for HD slideshows and BIAS SoundSoap 2 SE, complete with a plug-in for the audio noise reduction software. SmartSound Sonicfire Pro 5 soundtrack creation and HD video authoring to either Blu-ray or DVD is also included.
Owners of Toast 10 can get the latest Titanium version for only $59.99, and Toast 9/Toast 8 users aren’t forgotten either, with $79.99 upgrades that don’t require the mail-in rebate. Mac users with other Roxio products such as Popcorn, Easy VHS to DVD and Crunch are also eligible for a $79.99 crossgrade. Toast 11 Pro upgrades are $99.99 from Toast 10 or $129.99 from all other products.
Roxio’s website features all of the ordering information along with extensive details about the new versions, including a guided tour. Toast 11 (Titanium or Pro) is available for download immediately.
