Previous rumors speculated that the iPhone 5 would arrive with a 4.2 inch panel; the rumors were based on an alleged leak on Apple's website in Switzerland a few weeks ago.
According to DigiTimes, sources from within the actual panel suppliers are now indicating that the iPhone 5's panel size will still be less than 4 inches. These sources state that the iPhone 5 will have a 3.5- to 3.7-inch panel with a new, thinner bezel design that will make the screen appear larger.
The alleged leak from Switzerland also suggested that the new iPhone would also include an HD touch panel, an 8 megapixel camera, full HD video recording, an A5 processor, and a new ultra-thin design. According to sources, however, those specifications were only rumored expectations, and the next iPhone will actually be very similiar to the iPhone 4 with regard to specs and components. And screen size, apparently.
