Rumor: iPod touch Could Come With Dual Cameras and Retina Display

It's not that unbelievable to hear that the iPod touch is getting a significant update, since it's always been considered the non-phone version of the iPhone. Now that the iPhone 4 is out, it's time for the iPod touch to do some serious catching up. But, does that catching up involve getting a dual camera and retina display?
According to CrunchGear, why not? The camera and pixel packed screen are both key features of the iPhone 4, as is FaceTime. The update is inevitable, so why not now? Not to mention, John Gruber, who has been on the ball with Apple predictions before, also suggested it on his blog.
But, as it stands, iPhone 4 features on the iPod touch is speculation at best. Apple hasn't placed any high volume orders for LCDs, after all. But, with the Dell Streak and other tiny tablets in the works, Apple might want to make the iPod touch a more serious competitor.
