Rumor: MMS, Tethering May Be Included in iPhone Update
Posted 03/16/2009 at 4:00:13pm | by Florence Ion

Rumor has it that the upcoming iPhone 3.0 operating system update allegedly includes several heavily-coveted features, such as MMS messaging support and tethering.

If this turns out to be true, users will finally be able to send video and pictures messages, a common feature already included in many other handheld mobile devices. In addition, tethering would enable users to user their iPhone as an Internet device for any notebook system.

The official preview event for the new iPhone 3.0 will take place tomorrow, March 17th.

avatarRynedee, you're dumb.

Re-read the article you idiot. Part of the 3.0 update is the ability for the phone to RECORD video, AND send it through MMS messaging. Think before you post.

If this turns out to be true, users will finally be able to send video and pictures messages, a common feature ... What I get from this statement is SEND not take video.

I guess time will tell what we will get with this upgrade - I am excited to see what's ahead for us.
