We've heard it all--the white iPhone 4 has been delayed because it's harder to make a white phone than a black phone, because of an antenna issue, and because of a little bit of extra press coverage in the form of a salacious photo leak. Well, now we've got yet another rumor to add to the group.
According to the White iPhone 4 Blog, a group that is supposedly in contact with the OEM for the white iPhone 4 components, the reason the white iPhone has been delayed is due to a bend in the white frame produced by the old manufacturing process. This process, which has now purportedly been revised, caused the white top plate of the iPhone to sit improperly on the frame of the phone. According to White iPhone 4 Now, this is the reason Apple hasn't mass produced the white iPhone.

Those Apple fanatics waiting on a white iPhone 4 won't be having a happy Christmas at all. The trendiest model of the trendiest phone has been an incredibly rare purchase to secure. I found this here: Apple fans will have to wait for white iPhone 4 The Apple Store app has a feature which lets people reserve one, if they wish. It likely won't be available until spring of 2011.

You missed the real issue delaying the release of the white iPhone 4. The process of bleaching the black iPhone to get a white one is very time consuming. That's all it is. LOL :-)
