Buyers who have long been eager for the white iPhone 4, may get their due this week according to a new report. Apple reportedly began this weekend preparing their retail segment for an imminent launch of the white iPhone 4 model, which if true, would bring to an end a long wait for consumers since last July.
AppleInsider was reporting that people familiar with the issue were stating that Apple's U.S.-based retail stores started to receive promotional information overnight that featured the white iPhone 4. It is expected to launch for both Verizon & AT&T subscribers "within the next week."
Also, several stores were said to have received shipment notifications for various white iPhone 4 SKUs and were given instructions to hold the shipments in the back of the house until given further notice. An official announcement could come by Wednesday.
Should Apple hold off on an iPhone 5 until later in the year as reported, the new white model could help to give iPhone sales a boost in the meantime.
