Sales of an iPhone Application Double after T-Mobile Ad
A T-Mobile ad featuring ex Saturday Night Live actors playing around with an Android OS myTouch 3G, shows Dana Carvey using an application that simulates steam on glass. The user can write in the steam, in which Carvey writes "call me." But an iPhone application that has been out for a while seems to be benefiting from the publicity of the TV spot.
According to TechCrunch and AppleInsider, Israeli iPhone developers ApParty were more than surprised when their year-old application iFog ($.99 iTunes link) saw its sales double a few weeks ago.
The similar application Steamy Window Pro, is not made by ApParty, but clearly the advertisement from T-Mobile sparked iPhone and iPod touch users to search the App Store for something similar.
