Amazon finally has some friendly competition from the newly announced Skiff Reader.
At just a quarter of an inch thick, with an 11.5-inch touch screen, the Skiff Reader really looks stunning at first sight.
With the Skiff device you will be able to download digital content from undisclosed partners over either a Wi-Fi network or Sprint's 3G network.
With a screen that large, the Skiff Reader seems to be the perfect size for larger print items like newspapers and textbooks. Plus, the touch screen will definitely give both Amazon and Barnes and Noble a run for their money.
The Skiff Reader doesn't have an announced price or availability date, although Gizmodo notes that you'll most likely be picking one up at a Sprint store.
