Skype No Longer Available Via Fring

Last week, we reported that video calls through Skype were available through the Fring app for iPhone. Today, we've received unfortunate news that the internet communication app has been asked to drop its Skype interconnectivity. This news comes as a bit of a shock, especially because Skype has been available through Fring for four years.
The company has released a statement from Avi Shechter, Fring's co-found and CEO, saying:
"We are disappointed that Skype, who once championed the cause of openness, is now attempting to muzzle competition, even to the detriment of its own users. We apologize to our users for the impact of Skype’s bullying and we will be happy to reconnect with Skype once Skype reverses their decision. We believe in communication openness and know that users will continue to vote with their mobile phones – opting for fring’s innovation, clarity, honesty and openness”.
Anyway, don't forget to check your iPhones and update the Fring app.

Now if the rest would do the same thing and tighten up their security a tad then maybe they'd be worth using as well. Now if Skype would only release their updated Skype app for the iPhone so we can use the Video calling feature on it… ;)
And this stupid captcha crap would go away we'd really be in business!!!
