It's here, and it's ready for OS X Mountain Lion and your MacBook Pro with Retina Display. Snapheal 2.0 has landed in the Mac App Store, and if you move quickly, you might even get it at a steep discount.
MacPhun has announced the debut of Snapheal 2.0 on the Mac App Store, a major new update to the company's $24.99 image editing software, which we gave 4.5 stars in our review.
Snapheal is now twice as fast and features flawless erasing thanks to innovative "smart pixel identification" algorithms, offering new erasing tools and features which include a polygonal lasso tool, higher erasing precision and one-click switching between eraser modes.
Version 2.0 also adds new Retouch and Adjustment tools to the mix while offering significant performance optimizations to the Clone and Stamp tools at the same time.
Of course, Snapheal 2.0 is compatible with OS X Mountain Lion as well as that luscious new MacBook Pro with Retina Display, including user interface improvements and much more.
While Snapheal 2.0 does include Lightroom 4.0 import support, the update doesn't yet offer the direct integration promised over the summer, which the developer continues to fine-tune.
Snapheal 2.0 is now available on the Mac App Store and for 24 hours only, the price is only $7.99 -- a whopping 60 percent off the normal $24.99 price. The company has also introduced SnapJam, a rewards program for special offers and freebies just for MacPhun customers.
