Mac OS X Snow Leopard build 10A432 has been designated the "Gold Master," meaning that the cat is almost ready to pounce. Reaching a Gold Master state mean that the software has been developed and tested enough that it's ready to go out to the production facilities where it will be copied and distributed to the millions of Mac fans around the world.
MacRumors reports that they've confirmed that Snow Leopard build 10A432 is the real deal. Now we just have to wait to get the official word from Apple on when the new OS will ship. While Amazon is currently offering pre-orders, Apple has yet to release a date or start offering pre-orders. When Apple announced OS X 10.6, they noted that it would be shipping in September.
