Touch Arcade thinks Sonic could be heading to an iPhone. Sega has been teasing a new version of Sonic since last year, but that came to a head tonight with the announcement of Sonic 4 for WiiWare, Playstation Network, and XBOX live arcade.
However, Sonic 4 could be heading to another platform as the Sonic website hints. We're sure retro gamers will rejoice as Sega is leaving 3D and heading back to its 2D history.
TA notes that there is a limited number of devices that the game could still be ported to, namely: DSi, PSP, and iPhone. Although, there is another device not yet released: the iPad. We would love to see this game come out on the iPad
