Love free movies and TV shows? Love them even more on your iOS device? Well, Sony Pictures Entertainment has an offer you can’t refuse. The company has released their official Crackle app for iOS, which means your free time will never be the same.
Crackle, Inc., a division of Sony Pictures Entertainment, has released the official Crackle app for iOS to the App Store late Monday. The free universal app is an ad-supported service touting hundreds of feature films and thousands of television shows, all full-length, uncut and best of all, free.
“Crackle is one of the fastest growing digital entertainment networks, offering quality movies and TV series from Columbia Pictures, Tri-Star, Screen Gems, Sony Pictures Classics and more,” the company said in a press release. “Crackle is available via web, mobile, gaming systems and set-top boxes. For more information, visit www.crackle.com. Crackle is a division of Sony Pictures Entertainment.”
The 6.3MB universal app allows iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users to enjoy full-length Hollywood movies and TV series absolutely free, with unlimited, on-demand viewing. Genres include action, comedy, crime, horror, thriller and sci-fi and users can browse in several categories (Movies, TV, Originals, Collections or Genres) as well as searching by keyword.
Too much to watch? Build and manage your Crackle queue and watch content later, either on the app or via the Crackle website. Best of all, you can stream high-quality video from either Wi-Fi or 3G connections, and the company promises new movies and TV episodes will be added regularly.
Crackle is available now from the App Store; the free, universal app is compatible with the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 4.0 or later.
