Sony's free play environment game called Free Realms will be making its way over to the Mac in the coming months. Sony today announced their plans for porting the game and its 14-million player strong community over to the Mac "this fall." This news comes at a time when PS3 users are still unable to play the game on their consoles.
According to the press release, Sony is porting the game because of, "The overwhelming player demand for Free Realms on the Mac platform."
The Mac version of the game will have the same controls and functionality as the PC version, and will also have full access to the marketplace and community forums.
From the press release: "Free Realms is an online, interactive virtual world that offers players adventures in the form of quests, activities and minigames. From ninja fighting to demolition derby to raising pets, Free Realms allows players to be what they want to be, while offering a safe environment to connect with old and new friends."
There's no solid release date yet, but we're delighted to know that this game will be coming soon to one of our favorite platforms.
