You may have heard that Apple's acclaimed iTunes Festival is coming over to this side of the pond for next month's SXSW (South By Southwest) Festival in Austin, and now The Loop has more news on what to expect. Along with Coldplay, Imagine Dragon, and other groups, '90s sensation Soundgarden will be performing at the festival.
Soundgarden will serve as the headlining act for March 13, which marks the third night of SXSW. For their performance, the Seattle-based band plans to perform the entirety of its 15-track Superunknown album, which first appeared 20 years ago. Some of Soundgarden's greatest hits were on the album, including "Black Hole Sun," "Spoonman," and "The Day I Tried to Live."
Want to attend? Merely having a SXSW badge won't get you in; you'll also have to enter a ticket giveaway event at a later date. If that fails, you can also watch the performance through iTunes on your Mac or via the official iTunes Festival app for iPhone and iPad.
The supporting acts for Soundgarden's performance have yet to be announced.
