Reisuke Ishida, the mind behind the iOS classic Space Invaders Infinity Gene (one of the first truly great iPhone games) has released a new game. It's called Groove Coaster and it's like a roller coaster of grooves.
The premise is relatively simple. It's a one-button rhythm game that asks you to drum along on your iPad/iPhone touch screen. As you're cruising through the level on a predetermined track, you'll have to tap the screen whenever you touch a dot. And of course, it wouldn't be the sister-game of Space Invaders Infinity Gene if it wasn't accompanied by awesome vector graphics and colorful explosions.
Check out the video below, and you'll get the idea.
Early reviews that are coming in have been lauding Groove Coaster so far, so we're pretty excited to give it a try. Rhythm games have always been quite a bit of fun on iOS, even Rock Band managed to be converted to the touch screen pretty successfully.
Groove Coaster is just 99 cents, so if you've got an iPhone 3GS or later model (or iPad) you should really check this one out.
