Spotify Goes Live For iPhone
Posted 09/08/2009 at 10:38:46am | by Danny Estrada

For those not in the know, Spotify is a Swedish-created, London-based, start-up providing the ultimate social music collabortation that side of the Atlantic. There is a free version available, but you will need an invitation token to download it, and boy do we want an invitation token! You will also have to be in a country that doesn't have strict licensing restrictions like our great, music-sharing-hating nation.

Spotify released their mobile app for the iPhone (and Google Android), but it only works for premium members only. The mobile application will allow you to stream music, as well sync playlists to your phone that allow you to play music while in airplane mode, or if you are stuck somewhere with a very weak signal. Like San Francisco, or New York.

Watching the video below make us want to become a premium member in order to took full advantage of this app.

It looks as though Apple shouldn't have a problem with Spotify, as long as the app is available for premium users only. Hopefully, we'll get Spotify here soon.
