Lazy 8 Studios just submitted an iPhone version of their innovative new puzzle game Cogs to the Apple store. Built on the concept of Pipes, Cogs takes it to the next level by adding several new movable widgets from gears all the way to propellers. Their 51 different levels take it even further by moving from 2-D to 3-D. There are machines you need to build on the face of a cube, and even machines that will fly. Once you've finished a puzzle in inventor mode, the puzzle is unlocked in time challenge mode (where you're racing against the clock) and move challenge mode (where you're trying to complete a puzzle in as few moves as possible.)
The PCversion of Cogs (where's the Mac version, folks?) was a finalist at the Independent Games Festival. It will be available as an initial purchase with 11 levels, with 10-pack additional levels available for purchase in game for $0.99.
