We've never been too keen on the inclusion of rumors surrounding Steve Jobs' health in our regular news coverage, but it's hard not to chime in on the fact that according a reliable source, Steve is looking as healthy as a horse during a recent visit to Apple's Cupertino campus. If that kind of scuttlebutt doesn't drive the company's stock prices back up, we don't know what will.
According to author and consultant Matthew Cross, Jobs had "a healthy spring in his step", when he saw him on the Apple campus on January 31. Cross was at the 1 Infinite Loop to drop off a copy of his recent book to Apple management, and visit the campus' Company Store gift shop. When Cross, um, crossed paths with Jobs, the Apple CEO was yakking away on his iPhone in a voice that according to Cross sounded "strong", closely resembling the voice so many of us have become familiar with from Jobs' Keynote presentations.
While it's great to hear that Jobs is doing well, it's not a huge surprise to discover that he's been seen on campus. After all, while he opted to take a step back from his daily duties, he is still Apple's CEO. Here's hoping that we'll see him back to his full duties soon.
