SuperBrothers Sword and Sorcery EP is nothing if not unique. There's practically nothing about this game that seems cribbed from other releases, and the new trailer they've released is no different. Presented in an almost Twilight-Zone-esque way, the trailer aims for "audience calibration" to prepare us for the game's impending release.
The name Sword and Sorcery probably produces a vision of a game that is nothing like the upcoming release from SuperBrothers. You might imagine it to be a colorful RPG where a plucky young hero must strike down powerful evil. The trailer shown here shows off a much different game though. It's creepy, subtle, and far more mystical than any game with wizards and magic crystals. The trailer itself describes the game as a "meandering, mytho-poetic adventure." Sign us up.
The trailer also states that more information on this enigmatic game will be coming "when day and night are in balance." Maybe that just sounds like more creepy "mytho-poetic" talk, but it more likely points to the Spring equinox which is coming on March 20 this year. Seeing as how the game uses moon cycles to determine what type of content is available in the game (for instance, different adventures are available on a crescent moon than a full moon) we'd say that sounds like a perfect day for this game to be released.
