Parents are always seeking new ways to educate and entertain their kids, and the App Store is a veritable treasure trove of possibilities. Now, iOS owners can get a collection of storybook tales absolutely free for the holidays.
iStoryTime has announced that its universal Suzy's Zoo Storybook Collection app has gone free just in time for the holidays, ready to entertain kids of all ages with the whimsical adventures of Witzy.
Suzy's Zoo is taken from the award-winning work of artist Suzy Spafford, who created Witzy the duck to help engage young readers and promote literacy with interactivity, animation and narration.
The first book in the series to be featured is “Witzy’s Friends Forever,” which follows Witzy as he searches for a wishing puff to wish for all of his pals to be friends forever. The free app also includes two additional e-books, "Witzy's Sweet Tooth" and "Witzy's Bedtime," which can be purchased for $1.99 each right from within the app.
Like all iStoryTime apps, Suzy's Zoo Storybook Collection isn't just about reading -- the app also features a coloring book, memory cards and puzzle to keep children entertained, narration options allow the user to have the book read to them in addition to reading it themselves or auto play.
Suzy's Zoo Storybook Collection is now available free from the App Store; the universal app requires iOS 5.0 or later and is optimized for the iPhone 5.
