With rumors spreading around about a tablet Mac, a Taiwan newspaper
adds fuel to the fire by naming the component suppliers for the new
device. RegisterHardware reports that the display supplier will be Wintek Corp and the completed device will be manufactured by Foxconn (aka Hon Hai Precision Industry Co.). Foxconn produces other Apple products like iPhone, iPod, and some Mac models.
The Financial Times, as we have already reported, has claimed the device will be released before Christmas 2009. We must say that rumors of tablet Macs have been circulating the interwebs for the past few years. This makes us a bit skeptical especially since Apple is so adament about dismissing the netbook market as a sustainable product for the company.
