If you're planning to skip the iPad Air tomorrow in favor of a swanky new iPad mini with Retina Display sometime later in November, one retailer thinks they may know when Apple will actually release it.
MacRumors reported Wednesday that a product listing for the new iPad mini with Retina Display on Target.com comes with a curious piece of information tucked away at the bottom: A release date of Nov. 21, 2013.
What makes that item curious is the fact that Apple has yet to announce a release date for the iPad mini with Retina Display beyond a vague "later in November," at which time the diminutive tablet is expected to be in rather short supply.
The date is also suspect given that it falls on a Thursday, considering that Apple typically releases new iPhones and iPads on a Friday. However, it is the week before the Thanksgiving holiday here in the U.S., and surely Apple will want to have the iPad mini with Retina Display in stores by Black Friday, which falls on Nov. 29 this year.
Take this rumor with a grain of salt as usual, but we wouldn't be surprised to see the iPad mini with Retina Display show up in stores around Nov. 21 -- and leap off the shelves just as quickly, no doubt.
