Parents are always looking for fun, entertaining ways to teach their kids, and who better to create an iOS app to do just that than a self-described "tech geek dad" and "teacher mom"?
Deedil announced the debut of Robot ABCs with Jinxie, an interactive and educational children's app for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad that combines human and robot narration to make learning the alphabet fun.
The app is the creation of a teacher mom and tech geek dad duo who describe learning to read as "the coolest thing since sliced bread." Their new mobile education app studio, Deedil, was founded in January and Tuesday's release of Robot ABCs with Jinxie is the initial fruit of those labors.
Created for parents to help their children with letter recognition as well, Robot ABCs is simple enough for kids to follow along with Jinxie as he sounds out letters and objects such as A for apple and K for kite. It was also designed with both a human voice for proper pronunciation and Jinxie’s robot voice for fun and entertainment. And who doesn’t love robots?
As children follow along with the human voice, they can tap each page for the robot pronunciation too and at the end, Jinxie sings the entire alphabet. Robot ABCs with Jinxie also features printable pages for coloring such as a certificate for learning the ABCs.
Robot ABCs with Jinxie is now available on the App Store for only 99 cents; the universal app is compatible with all devices running iOS 4.3 or later.
