Straight from the Sam and Max series, Telltale games has released Episode I: The Penal Zone for the iPad.
The game is based on the comics series Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse by Steve Purcell and features several multi-touch features to control the game. According to the game description, the series begins with an "otherworldly power for controlling matter and space calls to the strongest and strangest who might wield it - intergalactic warlords and eldritch gods, under-dwellers and scholars of the arcane."
“Sam & Max just feels right on iPad," said Kevin Bruner, CTO, Telltale Games. "The gameplay experience is incredibly intimate and tactile. Playing the game on iPad truly feels different to anything else.”
The game is available on the iTunes App Store [iTunes link] for $9.99, and the description states that there will be 5 monthly episodes of the game series. There's no word yet on if this game will be coming to the iPhone.
