At a town hall meeting just a few days ago, T-Mobile CMO Cole Brodman crushed the dreams of many with one simple statement: "We are not going to get the iPhone 5 this year."
Getting the iPhone on T-Mobile has been rumored for quite a while, and has been picking up steam lately. When we compared all the existing and potential carriers for the next iPhone, T-Mobile came out on top. We must remember that rumors are just rumors, but this one does sting the T-Mobile fans waiting for an iPhone. It seemed so close!
Well, you might find some solace if you consider what Brodman didn't say. He didn't say T-Mobile was never getting an iPhone, just that they were not getting the iPhone 5 this year. He didn't say anything about next year or other iPhone models. So the door is left open for you to make your own hopeful interpretations.
We'll have to wait for an official Apple announcement to know for certain, but for now, it looks like we'll have to wait a little longer for a pink-T iPhone.
