T-Mobile is holding its event tomorrow, but details are already leaking out all over the place. While there's been some mention of the company's new "UNcarrier" pricing plans, a source now says T-Mobile will finally offer the iPhone directly, instead of requiring unlocked models. And moreover, your T-Mobile iPhone can take advantage of a 4G LTE network starting tomorrow.
Speaking to CNET, a source "familiar with launch plans" says the carrier will use its new iPhone offerings as a centerpiece of tomorrow's event. T-Mobile is the last major cellular carrier to jump on the Apple train -- the last by quite a margin, actually.
Earlier on Monday, it was revealed T-Mobile's new plans -- part of a new "UNcarrier" marketing push, leaked last week -- were already available online. The plans, which look incredibly decent at first glance, start at 500MB of 4G data, unlimited calls, and unlimited text for $50 a month. Comparatively, the plans look very attractive when balanced against AT&T's Mobile Share options.
The CNET source also stated the T-Mobile 4G LTE network could go live tomorrow, which should gel nicely with the carrier's new plans to sell the iPhone 5. While the LTE network should be available after the event, an exact date for the T-Mobile iPhone models is unknown.
