Remember when your mom told you not to steal? Well, beyond the whole, it's wrong, it can also leave you vulnerable to the iService Trojan horse.
Intego sent out a security alert last week about pirated versions of iWork containing a Trojan horse. Well now the company is warning everyone that a crack application that serializes Adobe Photoshop CS4 for Mac, installs a Trojan horse that no amount of lens flare will cure.
The crack application installs a back door into a machine and allows the machine to be controlled remotely, and can be used to install additional components into the affected Mac.
The Trojan horse, OSX.Trojan.iServices.B Trojan, like it's predecessor, can be used for DDoS (distributed denial of service) attacks. According to Intego, at least 1,000 copies of the application have been downloaded.
No one wants a zombie Mac, so be careful out there people.
