It's stories like these that make us absolutely adore the iOS platform. Laser Dolphin is a new game from Dingo Games that stars, you guessed it, a fully armed and ready-for-battle porpoise. The Prime Minister has been kidnapped by aliens and only Laser Dolphin can save him from inevitable probes.
This sneak preview of the awesome upcoming game comes courtesy of a preview at TouchArcade which describes it as "Ecco the Dolphin with guns." We expected a hilarious game, but the video reveals something more beyond that. It may actually be a lot of fun. The video shows off some very slick combat, and Laser Dolphin is highly maneuverable and deadly. We could definitely see ourselves having a blast flipping up into the air to blast some enemies before splashing back down to our mammalian underwater habitat.
You wont be limited to just a laser either. There are also laser swords (which both look and sound exactly like lightsabers,) homing missiles and others. Check out the video for a taste of the insane action, and be sure to keep watch in early May for what is clearly the Citizen Kane of video gaming. While you're waiting for the final product, you can download a demo of the game for PC or Mac here.
