Use iDisk to Email Large Files
Apple promised we would be getting the ability to share large files using MobileMe, and now, Apple has delivered on that promise.
To share a large file that is stored in your iDisk, just sign into your MobileMe account with your browser. Select the file you want to share in your iDisk and click on the "Share File" Button."
You can assign a expiration date and password to the file you are sharing. It's actually really easy, which is what you would expect from Apple. Apple has a video tutorial to help guide you through the new feature.

For two reasons:A) My ISP has large file transfer included with my service plan- you're limited to 100 MB/file though.B) Go to: http://www.getdropbox.com and then compare that to iDisk. The plain fact is that, a lot of people already have most of the services that MobileMe provides through their ISP, I know I do.

I like the idea.... but i tried to put 20MB on my idisk and it was going to take forever to copy over....
its just easier to set up an FTP server on your mac and then tell people the address

Am I mental or when this feature was initially advertised (before the MobileMe launch) it also referred to being able to limit the number of downloads as well as the number of days the file would be available for?
