Hooray! AT&T's U-verse Mobile app is officially available for the iPhone. It's pretty convenient for AT&T U-verse subscribers--the app lets you program your home DVR, search your channel guide, and set your favorite shows--but most importantly, it's a nice way to download television shows.
Ten networks will be available at launch, including ABC, ESPN, Disney, Discovery Channel, and more, with more networks on the way. Shows are up about a week after airing, and expire in two to three weeks.
Unfortunately, you can only download over Wi-Fi--a bummer for commuters. But, if you're jailbroken (do it, it's easy!), you can use My3G to make your phone think it's in WiFi mode while it's still on 3G.
More shows than Hulu Plus and free for U-Verse cable subscribers. What a steal. We just hope an iPad version is in the works.
